Round 1 Dante circles Nadeau, landing jabs and crosses at will. A running flurry from Robert Nadeau is countered by a well-timed shovel punch from Diekmann. Diekmann follows up with a powerful kick to the midsection. Dante and Nadeau begin to trade strikes. Nadeau lands a jab, cross. Dante connects with a body shot followed by a hook. Dante gains a muay-thai clinch and lands some hard hooks. He then pulls Nadeaus head to a strong knee strike, knocking him to the floor. Dante Diekmann lays into Nadeaus thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Robert Nadeau does so. Dante Diekmann and Robert Nadeau begin to trade strikes. Robert Nadeau lands a jab, cross. Dante Diekmann kicks at the legs of Nadeau and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Nadeau to stand. Nadeau is able to press Diekmann to the cage, forcing a momentary clinch. Diekmann wriggles out of the clinch and throws looping hooks to back Nadeau off. Nadeau throws a push kick. Diekmann shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Roberts nose.
The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Dante Diekmann is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Robert. Robert winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Dante throws a cross that easily dodged by Robert Nadeau. Robert Nadeau lands a double jab. Dante Diekmann shuffles away from Nadeaus strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Nadeau backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Dante Diekmann dances around the cage avoiding any exchanges. The referee calls a halt to the contest to verbally warn Dante Diekmann. Diekmann feints and follows up with a hard crossto the head of Robert. Dante connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Robert Nadeau. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Dante Diekmann connects with a hard jab as Nadeau attempts a wide outside hook. Robert Nadeau throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Dante Diekmann puts Robert Nadeau on the mat giving his back up. Round 3 is finished.
