Round 1
Jon Rogers lands a double jab. Rogers narrowly dodges a cross from Beto, but falls catching him in his guard. Rogers locks a kimura and forces Beto to defend. Rogers settles for a couple of cross-body chops to Mirandas temple. Beto Miranda presses the action while in the guard, but Jon is able to switch him into mount. Jon throws some outside strikes at Beto. Beto attempts to escape mount but has no luck. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
Jon fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Beto to the cage. Beto swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Beto Miranda attempts to transition to the butterfly guard but Jon is too quick and takes half guard. Jon Rogers is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Jon Rogers maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Miranda gets pummeled by the fists of Jon Rogers. Miranda gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Miranda tries to stand up but Rogers plants him back down with several strikes. Miranda starts to wiggle out of back control, Jon Rogers lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Rogers circles Miranda, mixing jabs with body shots. Jon Rogers sends Beto Miranda to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Beto tries for a kimura from the bottom. Jon throws an outside punch and Beto releases the hold. A kimura attempt is defended well by Jon and he is able to sneak his leg through "El Conquistadors" loose guard, to half guard. Rogers drops an elbow onto the forehead of Miranda. "El Conquistador" tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Jon presses his foot onto the thigh of Beto Miranda to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. The bell signals the end of round 3.
