Round 1 Timo Mercado eats a strong cross as Bradley James moves into the clinch. Timo Mercado attempts a takedown but is out leveraged and taken down himself. James now is in dominant side mount. Round 2 Bradley ducks and weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty uppercut. James starts to put on the pressure, forcing Timo back into the cage. James takes advantage and clinches. Mercado takes Bradley Jamess back standing, but Bradley James isolates an arm and locks a spinning kimura but Mercado squirms out and both fighters end up standing. James connects with a hard punch making Timo bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Mercado attempts a takedown but is out leveraged and taken down himself. Bradley James now is in dominant side mount. James lands a few stiff elbows from side control. A knee to belly allows Timo Mercado to twist from his back, pulling Bradley James off balance. Timo Mercado then switches him to guard and stands up. Timo Mercado allows Bradley James to stand. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Mercado connects with numerous jabs to the face of James. Timo Mercado connects with a hard punch making Bradley James bring him in to a tight clinch. Bradley James works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Bradley locks up Timo Mercado and launches him over his leg, putting him into half guard. Timo Mercado tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Bradley is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Round 3 is finished.
