Round 1 Slater connects with a jab cross combination. Wilson fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Slater Jodoin. Jesse ducks under to the back of Jodoin and hops up getting both hooks in. Jesse applies a deep choke. Jodoin fights off the hands and spins around back into the clinch. Slater Jodoin drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Wilson sets a guillotine choke but Slater Jodoin slips out at the last moment. Slater Jodoin is now caught in guard. Jesse Wilson sinks a deep kimura, but Slater slides out. This gives Jesse Wilson the chance to switch to half guard. Wilson uses the Z half guard to recover to guard. Slater tries to pass guard but Jesse stops him with a well timed punch. Jesse attempts an omoplata and almost has it sunk but Slater is able to survive any major damage. Jesse cannot finish the hold and decides to stand up. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Slater Jodoin connects with a hard jab as Jesse attempts a wide outside hook. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jesse Wilson gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Slater Jodoin attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Jesse Wilson pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Jesse Wilson dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Jodoin eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Jesse. A wild hook from Jodoin is ducked by Wilson who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Jesse tries to hyperextend the knee of Slater with a kick to the kneecap. Slater hops back to avoid it. Slater Jodoin connects with a strong body shot combo. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Slater connects with a hard jab as Jesse Wilson attempts a wide outside hook. Slater Jodoin connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Jesse executes a single leg giving him the back of Jodoin. Jesse Wilson lands a series of heavy punches forcing Slater to roll to his back, giving Jesse Wilson mount. Jesse secures his position. Jesse Wilson has mount. He uses a cross face on Jodoin and falls into an armbar. Jodoin locks his hands together and attempts to turn into the lock. Jesse Wilson transitions to a triangle choke. Jodoin taps.
