Round 1 Junichi Minamoto connects with a hard punch making Benjamin bring him in to a tight clinch. Benjamin Henderson receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. While tied up, Benjamin Henderson is met with a hard uppercut. Minamoto stuffs a shot from Henderson and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. A kimura attempt from Benjamin is countered by a punch from Junichi Minamoto, who then transitions to half guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Junichi connects with a series of punches forcing Benjamin into a clinch. Minamoto places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Junichi Minamoto escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Henderson tries to stop a shot with a punch but Junichi plows through Benjamin Hendersons attempt and ends up in guard. Junichi Minamoto keeps his head down in guard to gather energy. Benjamin uses the strength of his legs to sweep him over to his back. Benjamin now has full mount.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Junichi Minamoto connects with a hard punch making Henderson bring him in to a tight clinch. Benjamin works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Henderson gets a trip takedown from clinch and end up in the half guard of Minamoto. Henderson hits Junichi with some punches to the side of the head. Benjamin Henderson tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. The round comes to an end.
