Round 1 Buzz hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Buzz Lundy steps forward and executes a small inner recap, falling into Ians guard. Buzz Lundy takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Ians guard. It doesn't pay off as Ian makes his way to standing. A welt begins to form under Wards eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Lundy. Buzz narrowly dodges a cross from Ian Ward, but falls catching him in his guard. Buzz starts to lock a triangle. Ian postures up and Ian settles for a few stiff chops to Buzz Lundys face. Buzz Lundy sinks a kimura fromt he bottom but cannot finish. He rolls Ward over to gain mount but Ward is able to achieve half guard with a great scramble. Buzz Lundy releases the kimura. Ian defends short shots well by turning his head. Lundy attempts to get a leg free and quickly moves into mount position. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Ian connects with numerous jabs to the face of Buzz Lundy. Ian Ward narrowly dodges a cross from Buzz, but falls catching him in his guard. Ian connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Buzz Lundy presses the action while in the guard, but Ian is able to switch him into mount. Ian Ward splits Buzzs nose open with a well timed punch. Lundy bucks off Ian Ward and gives up his back but Ian Ward is too quick and locks in a tight choke.
