Round 1 Olavo presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Henderson, aggressively pulling guard. Lobo shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Henderson frees a leg and moves into half guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Lobo connects with a strong body shot combo. Lobo connects with a series of punches forcing Chad Henderson into a clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. In the clinch Chad grabs the arm of Lobo turns while dropping to a knee whipping him over his shoulder with a Seoi Otoshi throw. Chad immediately takes side control. Chad delivers knees to the body and sharp forearms to the head forcing Olavo Lobo to turn over. Chad takes the back. Lobo rolls back into being mounted. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Olavo Lobo sends Chad Henderson to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Olavo keeps his head down in the chest of Henderson to avoid any submission attempts. Olavo leans up and lands some short punches before lowering back down. Olavo stands up with Chad Henderson still holding guard. As Chad Henderson releases his guard Olavo spins to a kneebar but it is too shallow. Olavo takes couple of shots to the head. The fighters scramble to standing position. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Henderson hits an uppercut to the head of Olavo followed by a hard hook. An outside leg trip puts Olavo into side control. Olavo lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Olavo lands a few stiff elbows from side control.
