Round 1
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Popham gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Garcia takes the back of Al Popham who works for a kimura. Garcia pulls his arm out of the hold and push Al Popham away. Popham reaches down and trips Garcia with a beautiful ankle pick. Popham dives into his guard. Tomasito grabs the arm of Al while in guard and holds tight eating shots to ribs. Tomasito Garcia pulls Al Popham close and connects with a few heel strikes to the back. A right hand from Tomasito while in guard angers Popham who returns the favor with a powerful right hand. Al attempts to pass Garcias guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
Al winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Popham connects with a jab cross combination. Al Popham takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Tomasito Garcia to hit him harder. Popham connects with a right that puts Garcia off balance tumbling to the mat, as Popham towers over him.Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
Tomasito throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Al is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Popham winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Garcia parries Als jab and connect with a cross. Garcia presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Al Popham, aggressively pulling guard. Tomasito connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Tomasito places both feet on the hips of Al Popham and pushes him up in the air. Tomasito flips him over right in to an armbar. Al Popham taps out.
