Round 1 Mauri Diaz throws a hard jab but Junichi throws a cross right over the top rocking Mauri Diaz. Diaz hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Minamoto throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Diaz is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Mauri Diaz presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Minamoto, aggressively pulling guard. A kimura attempt is defended well by Junichi Minamoto and he is able to sneak his leg through Diazs loose guard, to half guard. Junichi Minamoto is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Junichi slams a 12 to 6 elbow down to the face of Mauri Diaz. Mauri Diaz goes limp and the referee stops the fight.
