Round 1 Cliff takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Tomasito Garcia fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Cliff Anderson. Garcia works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Tomasito Garcia decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Cliff Anderson with him. Cliff Anderson pushes down Garcias leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Garcia is able to work a leg through from the bottom to attain full guard. Anderson attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Tomasito Garcia slips out of it at the last moment. Tomasito Garcia lands an omoplata but Cliff Anderson rolls out of it leading both fighters to a stand up. The fighters circle each other. Tomasito tries to hyperextend the knee of Cliff with a kick to the kneecap. Cliff hops back to avoid it. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Tomasito Garcia is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Cliff prepares to pounce, but Tomasito Garcia gets his bearings just in time. Cliff attempts to drop a fist on Garcia, but misses and lands in his guard. Tomasito Garcia goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Anderson slips out at the last second. Cliff Anderson passes through Tomasitos guard into mount. Garcia attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Tomasito gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Cliff lays into Tomasito Garcia with some strong shots forcing Tomasito Garcia to give up mount position. Cliff punishes Tomasito with a series of strikes from the mount. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Cliff Anderson receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Tomasito Garcia. Anderson works Tomasito into a corner, swimming for double underhooks. Anderson presses his head into Garcias chest, forcing him to the ground. Garcia attempts an armbar from the bottom, but Cliff Anderson slips out at the last moment. Cliff Anderson drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Garcia locks a triangle but Anderson defends well. Garcia continues the attempt but finally decides to let go. Cliff Andersons face is red from the choke and sits low in the guard to catch his breath. Tomasito Garcia works the rubber guard on Anderson, eventually allowing an omaplata to be set in. Anderson quickly taps out.
