Round 3 Ward connects with a hard punch making Lobo bring him in to a tight clinch. Olavo gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Ward takes Lobos back standing. Lobo isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Ward lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Lobo to release. A trip to the ground allows Ian to move into the guard of Lobo. Lobo connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Ward tries to move to half guard but Olavo Lobo uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard.
