Round 1 Russow throws a few jabs at Walter that miss the mark. Mack lands a devastating overhand right on Shane. Walter lands a double jab. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Walter Mack works Shane Russow into the cage from the clinch. Walter Mack presses his head under Shane Russows chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Russow absorbs several body shots while being tied up. Walter Mack lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Walter places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Walter Mack takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Walter catches a leg kick from Shane, and puts him on the mat. While caught in the guard, Walter Mack opens up a cut on Shane Russow with a devestating elbow. Shane Russow attempts to lock in an armbar from the guard. Walter Mack narrowly avoids it, but allows for Shane Russow to take mount. Walter attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Walter Mack pulls his leg out from under Shane and gets back to half guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Shane feints a takedown attempt and connects with a left hook dropping Walter. Shane dives into guard. Walter attempts to create some space from his guard, but Russow sees the opening and passes to full mount. Mack gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Mack starts to wiggle out of back control, Russow lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Shane takes a punch while shooting but executes the takedown and ends up in Walter Macks guard. Shane distracts Mack with peppering shots. Shane then isolates a leg and sinks a achilles lock. Mack is able to force his way out but gives up mount in the ensuing scramble. Walter gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Russow peppers Walter with several shots to the face. Giving up his back, Walter panics and gives up mount instead. The bell signals the end of round 3.
