Round 1 Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Artigas wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Croyler Trentini. Artigas slides his knee across the body of Croyler Trentini and takes full mount. Julio Artigas punishes Croyler with a series of strikes from the mount. Croyler gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Julio Artigas locks in a body triangle as he takes shots at Trentini. Artigas lays into Croyler with some strong shots forcing Croyler to give up mount position. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Trentini connects with a hard punch making Julio bring him in to a tight clinch. Croyler Trentini works Artigas into the cage from the clinch. Croyler Trentini presses his head under Julio Artigass chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Julio Artigas attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Croyler Trentini pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Trentini lands a double jab. Trentini throws a few jabs at Julio Artigas that miss the mark. Trentini connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Julio Artigas lands a double jab. Croyler Trentini throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Julio is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Trentini fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Julio Artigas to the cage. Julio Artigas swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Croyler distracts Julio Artigas with some peppering shots. Croyler then isolates a leg and falls back into a achilles lock. Julio Artigas is able to force his way out of it but gives up half guard in the ensuing scramble.Round 3 comes to a close.
