Round 1 Ishinomori keeps Ribeiro at a distance with some well timed jabs. Hisoka parries Ribeiros jab and connect with a cross. Ribeiro throws a push kick. Ishinomori shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Santiagos nose.
Hisoka takes down Ribeiro, but remains standing over him. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Santiago Ribeiro fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Hisoka Ishinomori. Santiago Ribeiro takes Ishinomoris back standing. Santiago Ribeiro lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. Hisoka is able to work his way back around. Ribeiro decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Hisoka Ishinomori with him. Santiago pulls Ishinomori close and connects with a few heel strikes to the back. Ishinomori tries to pass guard but Santiago Ribeiro stops him with a well timed punch. Santiago shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Santiago gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Ribeiro presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Ishinomori, aggressively pulling guard. Santiago Ribeiro lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Santiago Ribeiro attempts an omoplata and almost has it sunk but Ishinomori is able to survive any major damage. Santiago Ribeiro cannot finish the hold and decides to stand up. The bell signals the end of round 3.
