Round 1 Peter connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Allen. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Garrett attempts a takedown but is out leveraged and taken down himself. Floyd Allen now is in dominant side mount. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Allen is hit with a jab and then taken down with a strong trip takedown. Peter Garrett grabs a leg and falls back to attack the ankle. Peter Garrett switches to a heel hook but loses his grip letting Floyd scrambles to his feet. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Peter Garrett throws a cross that easily dodged by Floyd Allen. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Allen drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Peter Garrett sets a guillotine choke but Allen slips out at the last moment. Allen is now caught in guard. Floyd takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Garretts guard. It doesn\'t pay off as Peter Garrett makes his way to standing. A trip to the ground allows Peter to move into the guard of Floyd. Floyd Allen dodges some ground strikes from Peter, and sends a few back of his own. Floyd Allen grabs the arm of Peter Garrett while in guard and holds tight eating shots to ribs. Peter Garrett presses the action while in the guard, but Allen is able to switch him into mount. The bell signals the end of round 3.
