Round 1 Brody Long narrowly dodges a cross from Paul, but falls catching him in his guard. Long attempts to lock an omoplata, but Paul Eilers is able to muscle his way back to the guard. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Brody Long snaps back the head of Eilers with a stiff jab. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Brody gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Brody Long decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Paul Eilers with him. Paul frees a leg and moves into half guard. Brody uses the planted arm of Eilers to push off and get back to guard position. Brody Long pulls Paul close and connects with a few heel strikes to the back. Long works to the butterfly guard. "Inconsistent" tries to throw a punch but is off balance and Long shoots up to a standing position. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Paul hits an uppercut to the head of Long followed by a hard hook. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Both fighters begin to exchange Brody catches Eilers with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Eilers gather himself. Eilers says he is ok and the fight continues. Brody Long throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Eilers is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Brody Long connects with a strong body shot combo. Brody attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. "Inconsistent" takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Pauls knee strike causes Long to writhe in pain. Paul continues with knee strikes until Long rolls to his side. Paul finishes him off with strikes.
