Round 1 Cole connects with a jab cross combination. Wright presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Johnny Cole, aggressively pulling guard. Wright gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Simon Wright works for a strong underhook allowing him to capture the back of Cole. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Cole hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Johnny is staggered by a jab to the chin. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Johnny Cole attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Wright pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Simon catches a leg kick from Cole, and puts him on the mat. Wright sits up in Johnny Coles open guard and spins to an leg lock. Johnny Cole is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Simon Wright presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Cole, aggressively pulling guard. Simon Wright sets in an omaplata, forcing Johnny to roll through, giving Simon Wright side control. Johnny almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. A series of strong hammerfists forces Johnny to try and roll toward Simon Wright. Simon Wright lands a devastating shovel punch that roll Johnny to his back. Simon Wright scrambles to his back. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Johnny throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Wright is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Johnny Cole eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Simon Wright. Simon Wright connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Johnny Cole unleashes a flurry of punches ending with Simon out cold from a right hook.
