Round 1 A wild hook from Jesus Martinez is ducked by Vinnie who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Jesus Martinez is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Newton. Newton hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Jesus. Martinez lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Vinnie Newton blocks a tight hook from "Plojo" and counters with a shovel punch and cross that has "Plojo" stumbling backwards. Vinnie Newton stalks him across the canvas. Martinez weaves through a jab-cross combo from Vinnie Newton but is met with a powerful uppercut that knocks him to the floor. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Martinez is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Vinnie Newton prepares to pounce, but Martinez gets his bearings just in time. Newton attempts to drop a fist on Jesus Martinez, but misses and lands in his guard. Vinnie drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Vinnie Newton attempts to pass Martinezs guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. Newton maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. "Plojo" gets pummeled by the fists of Newton. "Plojo" gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn\'t quite make it. Newton begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Jesus rolls to being mounted instead. Martinez gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Vinnie Newton connects with a hard punch making Martinez bring him in to a tight clinch. Vinnie works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Vinnie recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Martinez sends Vinnie to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Martinez dodges a few strikes from Vinnie and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. Round 3 is over.
