Round 1
Rodriguez hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Malik. A wild hook from Malik Abdulrashid is ducked by Julio Rodriguez who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Malik is staggered by a jab to the chin. Malik is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Julio explodes forward with a push kick that puts Malik on the canvas. Round 1 is over.

Round 2
Julio snaps back the head of Malik Abdulrashid with a stiff jab. Rodriguez gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Rodriguez carefully protects himself from Maliks strikes. Rodriguez slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Julio parries Maliks jab and connect with a cross. Julio circles Malik, landing jabs at will. Rodriguez catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Malik. The bell signals the end of round 2.

Round 3
The fighters circle each other. Rodriguez hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Abdulrashid throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Julio Rodriguez is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Julio Rodriguez throws a crisp jab, but Malik slips it and moves in for the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Malik pushes Julio into the cage. Julio works a whizzer and attempts to turn Malik but Malik illegally grabs the cage for leverage. The referee is not in postition to see it. Abdulrashid grinds his forearm into the face of Julio Rodriguez while holding him into the cage. Malik Abdulrashid pushes Julio into the cage. Julio works a whizzer and attempts to turn Malik Abdulrashid but Malik Abdulrashid illegally grabs the cage for leverage. The referee sees it and breaks the clinch for a restart. The round comes to an end.
