Julio Rodriguez connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. "Kimbo Slice" grabs a single leg and pushes Julio to the fence. Both fighters are jockeying for positional control. Rodriguez takes Zimmermans back standing. "Kimbo Slice" isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Rodriguez lands a sharp shovel punch that forces "Kimbo Slice" to release. Eitan Zimmerman connects with a hard jab as Rodriguez attempts a wide outside hook. "Kimbo Slice" weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. Zimmerman plows through Julio with a driving double leg takedown. Round 1 is finished.

Zimmerman grabs a single leg and pushes Julio Rodriguez to the fence. Both fighters are jockeying for positional control. Zimmerman switches to a double leg but Julio Rodriguez does a good job of keeping his base. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. "Kimbo Slice" dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Rodriguez standing over him. Julio stands over Zimmerman, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Zimmerman is able to grab an arm and pull Julio into his guard. Julio Rodriguez parries "Kimbo Slices" jab and connect with a cross. Eitan Zimmerman throws a few jabs at Rodriguez that miss the mark. Zimmerman parries Julios jab and connect with a cross. Rodriguez throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Eitan puts Rodriguez on the mat giving his back up. The bell signals the end of round 3.
