Round 1 Both fighters begin to exchange Peter catches Shelton Francis with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Shelton Francis gather himself. Shelton Francis says he is ok and the fight continues. Byrd throws a few jabs at Francis that miss the mark. Shelton weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Peter throws a few jabs at Shelton Francis that miss the mark. Peter connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Shelton Francis. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Peter wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Shelton Francis. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Peter sends Shelton to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Peter keeps his head down in the chest of Shelton to avoid any submission attempts. Peter leans up and lands some short punches before lowering back down. Francis attempts to create some space from his guard, but Peter sees the opening and passes to full mount. Shelton Francis gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Byrd peppers Shelton with several shots to the face. Shelton Francis slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Shelton attempts a striking combination, but Byrd forces the clinch. Shelton lands a powerful knee to the face of Peter Byrd. Peter Byrd escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Peter is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Shelton Francis tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Peter that puts him on the floor. Peter Byrd lays into Shelton with some stomps. Shelton can\'t handle it as the ref stops the fight.
