Round 1 Byrd throws a cross that easily dodged by Chase. Peter throws a crisp jab, but Chase slips it and moves in for the clinch. An attempt at a clinch takedown from Chase Duncan is defended well by Byrd. Chase Duncan grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. Chase Duncan returns to the clinch. Peter Byrd attempts to grab the plum but is met by an overhand punch from Chase Duncan. Peter attempts to grab the plum but is kept off balance by Duncans strikes. Byrd attempts a takedown but is out leveraged and taken down himself. Duncan now is in dominant side mount. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Chase Duncan fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Peter Byrd. Chase grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that cuts Peter under the eye. Peter fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening Chase up for a flurry of hooks. Peter throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Chase is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Byrd throws a crisp jab, but Duncan slips it and moves in for the clinch. Chase Duncan works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Two short elbows from the clinch put Peter Byrd off balance. Chase holds him up, landing two more quick elbows. Peter is hit by successive knees on either side of his ribcage. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Peter Byrd connects with a teep to the face of Chase Duncan. Chase Duncan parries Peters jab and connect with a cross. Peter Byrd throws a cross that easily dodged by Chase. Chase Duncan parries a jab but leaves himself open for a hard cross. Duncan connects with a jab cross combination. Duncan throws a leg kick. Peter Byrd shin checks the kick. He then leaps up to land a crushing knee strike to the chin of Duncan. Duncan stumbles back. The round comes to an end.
