Round 1 "juggernaut" attempts a striking combination, but Sherk forces the clinch. "juggernaut" works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. "juggernaut" dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Cole Sherk standing over him. Cole attempts to drop a fist on Art Hayes, but misses and lands in his guard. Art dodges some ground strikes from Cole Sherk, and sends a few back of his own. Art fires elbows off his back to the top of the head of Cole Sherk. Art Hayes lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Art Hayes attempts to create some space from his guard, but Cole sees the opening and passes to full mount. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 The fighters circle each other. Cole ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Art to the mat, and his back. Hayes slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Cole wraps his arm around the back of Art and hip tosses him over to his back with an O Goshi throw. Cole lands in side control. Hayes is able to get back to full guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Art Hayes connects with a strong body shot combo. A wild hook from Cole is ducked by "juggernaut" who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "mako shark" receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Art receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Sherk. Cole Sherk places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. The bell signals the end of round 3.
