Round 1 Ward stuffs a shot from Lynch and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. Noah attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Shawn slips out of it at the last moment. Noah sits up in Shawn Lynchs open guard and spins to an leg lock. Lynch is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Lynch hits an uppercut to the head of "chainsaw" followed by a hard hook. Noah throws a few jabs at Lynch that miss the mark. Lynch takes a punch and goes to the mat, Noah Ward pounces into side control. Lynch recovers quickly. Noah Ward drops some hammer fists on Shawn. Lynch is able to get back to full guard.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Lynch drops his hands and motions for Noah Ward to try and hit him. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Lynch works Noah Ward into the cage from the clinch. Lynch presses his head under Wards chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Noah receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Shawn takes Wards back standing. Noah isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Shawn lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Noah to release. Shawn Lynch connects with a sweeping kick at the leg of Noah. Shawn hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of "chainsaw". Noah Ward lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. A jab-cross, left high kick puts Ward on the mat. Ward tries to regain his barrings but Lynch pounces, holding him down with a knee-on-belly and a hand on his face. Lynch smashing away with ferocious overhands until the ref stops the fight.
