Round 1
The fighters advance aggressively to center canvas, deciding not to touch gloves. "El Escorpion" hits an uppercut to the head of "The Fallen Angel" followed by a hard hook. Moreno connects with a hard punch making Michael bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. "The Fallen Angel" places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Angelo works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Michael Cardenas connects a few knees to the upper torso of Angelo Moreno.Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Michael Cardenas attempts a takedown but is out leveraged and taken down himself. "The Fallen Angel" now is in dominant side mount. Michael Cardenas takes a few knees to the body while under Angelos side control. "El Escorpion" sneaks a leg back under the body of Moreno to achieve a defensive half guard. Michael lands some stiff elbows from the ground, but Moreno is able to take full mount. Michael gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Cardenas carefully protects himself from Morenos strikes. "The Fallen Angel" maintains back control. As there is a lull in the action, "El Escorpion" shouts and waves to the crowd. "The Fallen Angel" seizes the opportunity and locks in a tight rear naked choke. "El Escorpion" struggles to escape but is unable to and soon taps out.
