Round 1 The fighters advance aggressively to center canvas, deciding not to touch gloves. Chico throws a hard jab but Arturo throws a cross right over the top rocking Chico. Arturo pressures his opponent into clinching. Chico works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. As both fighters jockey in the clinch Lopez turns and reaches his arm across the waist of "Slippy" grabbing the back of his thigh while grabbing behind the opposite leg with his other hand. Lopez dumps "Slippy" backwards over his own leg with a Sukui Nage. Lopez drops to side control. Chico Prado takes a few knees to the body while under Arturos side control. Arturo lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Chico Prado gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Arturo Lopez narrowly dodges a cross from Chico, but falls catching him in his guard. Arturo Lopez attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Arturo Lopez is hit with a jab and then taken down by a beautiful single-leg takedown. Prado snatches a leg and wrenches back for an ankle lock. Lopez defends well so the lock changes to a heel hook. Prado rotates into a very tight knee bar and there is nowhere for Lopez to go so he has to tap out before some major damage takes place.
