Round 1 The fighters advance and touch gloves. Beau Scott connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Beau dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Beau Scott keeps Leon at a distance with some well timed jabs. Scott dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Leon James standing over him. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 A welt begins to form under Beau Scotts eye after a strong cross-hook landed from James. Leon James throws a cross that easily dodged by Scott. James connects with a series of punches forcing Scott into a clinch. Beau works to Jamess back while standing. Beau throws a couple of outside shots until Leon is able to work his way back to the clinch. Leon James works Beau into the cage from the clinch. Leon James presses his head under Scotts chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Both fighters jockeying in the clinch. Scott grabs an arm of James turns and dumps him over his body with a Seoi Nage. Scott keeps the arm and locks in a lightning fast armbar. James struggles out and scrambles back to the feet. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Beau Scott winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. James pressures his opponent into clinching. Beau takes the back of Leon who works for a kimura. Beau pulls his arm out of the hold and push Leon away. Scott connects with a hard punch making James bring him in to a tight clinch. Beau picks up James but James illegally grabs the cage preventing the slam. The referee gives James a verbal warning and returns the fighters to the clinch position. While jockeying in the clinch Scott ducks down and grabs a leg of James while holding his arm dumping him on to his back with a Kuchiki Taoshi. Scott takes side control. Beau attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Leon for his troubles. James is wisely defending a kimura. Scott attempts to take it but James is having none of it, though Scott has used the chance the slide into mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
