Round 1 Dean connects with a series of punches forcing Scott Hughes into a clinch. Dean Cox works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Scott recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Scott Hughes is staggered by a jab to the chin. Hughes ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Dean and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Dean Cox snaps back the head of Scott Hughes with a stiff jab. Hughes is met with a cross and a liver shot that staggers him. Cox explodes with a flurry of punches. Hughes is then thrown to the floor. Dean Cox attempts to drop a fist on Hughes, but misses and lands in his guard. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 "The Mighty " fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Scott to a corner. Scott swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Scott Hughes is caught in a can opener and opens his guard. He lands two quick strikes but Cox transitions to half guard. "The Mighty " is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Dean throws some outside strikes at Hughes. Scott Hughes gets pummeled by the fists of Cox. Scott Hughes gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Dean Cox tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. "The Mighty " lands undefended strikes to the side of Scott Hughess head. The ref stops the fight.
