Round 1 Hawk catches a leg kick from Chris Vazquez, and puts him on the mat. A kimura attempt is defended well by Brooks and he is able to sneak his leg through Chriss loose guard, to half guard. Hawk slams his knee into Vazquezs ribs. Vazquez hits an upward elbow on Hawk, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Hawk takes side control. "Bad Banjo" almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. "Bad Banjo" takes a few knees to the body while under Brookss side control. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Hawk attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Chris Vazquez takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Vazquez slides his knee across the body of Brooks and takes full mount. Hawk Brooks pulls Chris Vazquez close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Hawk Brooks gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Vazquez tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Round 3 Hawk Brooks shoots a takedown from a distance putting Chris Vazquez on the ground. Hawk passes through Chris Vazquezs guard into mount. "Bad Banjo" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. "Bad Banjo" starts to wiggle out of back control, Hawk lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Hawk stuffs a shot from Chris and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. Brooks drops a few strong punches, opening up "Bad Banjos" guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Chris gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Hawk Brooks peppers Chris Vazquez with several shots to the face. Hawk Brooks sets in a rear naked choke. Chris Vazquez taps out.
