Round 1
"The Soviet Superstar" snaps back the head of "Maximus" with a stiff jab. Petrov circles Cuco, landing a front snap kick that stuns him. After dodging a jab-cross, Markov lands a kick to the liver of "Maximus" who steps back and begins to take a knee. Markov rushes forward to capitalize but "Maximus" stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Markov Petrov dodges a jab-cross combo from "Maximus" and connects with a front snap kick, sending "Maximus" stumbling backwards. Medina takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. A shot catches "Maximus" off balance and off guard. "The Soviet Superstar" grabs him by the waist, lifts him, swings him through and slams in onto the ground. "Maximus" scrambles well and works to guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Markov lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Markov escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Petrov unleashes a flurry of punches on Cuco Medina. "The Soviet Superstar" circles Medina, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Markov Petrov lands a solid kick to the front leg of Cuco. Medina is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Petrov explodes forward with a push kick that puts Medina on the canvas. Petrov drops a huge strike to "Maximuss" chin, landing into his guard. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
A looping right hook from Medina sends "The Soviet Superstar" to the mat. Cuco Medina drops a huge strike to Markovs chin, landing into his guard. While caught in the guard, "Maximus" opens up a cut on Markov Petrov with a devestating elbow. "The Soviet Superstar" attempts to create some space from his guard, but "Maximus" sees the opening and passes to full mount. Markov shifts his head and hips to keep Medina off balance and unable to land strikes. "Maximus" telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but "The Soviet Superstar" gives up his back to stop the attempt. Cuco Medina lands a series of heavy punches forcing Markov Petrov to roll to his back, giving Cuco Medina mount. Cuco secures his position. The bell signals the end of round 3.
