Round 1 Watson circles Nobu Kogo, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Nobu Kogo stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Nobu Kogo is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Manny Watson. Kogo sinks a deep kimura, but Manny slides out. This gives Kogo the chance to switch to half guard. Watson tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Nobu Kogo tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Manny Watson slips out of half guard and into side control. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Kogo receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Watson. Kogo attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with Manny standing over him. Watson attempts to drop a fist on Kogo, but misses and lands in his guard. Manny drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Manny tries to pass guard but "Sengoku Power" stops him with a well timed punch. Nobu attempts an armbar from the bottom, but Manny slips out at the last moment. Kogo sets in an omaplata, forcing Watson to roll through, giving Kogo side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Kogo gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Manny Watson attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with "Sengoku Power" standing over him. Kogo attempts to drop a fist on Watson, but misses and lands in his guard. Manny Watson attempts an armbar from the bottom, but "Sengoku Power" slips out at the last moment. Kogo drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Manny goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Nobu Kogo slips out at the last second. "Sengoku Power" takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Watsons guard. It doesn't pay off as Manny makes his way to standing.Round 3 comes to a close.
