Round 1 Manny circles Vasquez, mixing jabs and leg kicks. The fighters circle each other. Manny throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Vasquez puts Manny on the mat giving his back up. Manny rolls back into being mounted. Vasquez maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Manny shifts his head and hips to keep Vasquez off balance and unable to land strikes. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 A single-leg attempt is well defended by Vasquez. Manny Watson stands up, lifting the leg of Vasquez and executing a trip takedown. Manny attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Vasquez slips out of it at the last moment. Manny Watson takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Vasquezs guard. It doesn't pay off as Vasquez makes his way to standing. The fighters circle each other. Vico is staggered by a jab to the chin. Vico loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Manny for the mistake. Manny has side control. Manny Watson lands a few stiff elbows from side control. "Vanquish" takes a few knees to the body while under Manny Watsons side control. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Watson fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with "Vanquish". Vico Vasquez works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. A strong elbow forces Manny Watson to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Vasquez drops a huge strike to Mannys chin, landing into his guard. Vico attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Manny slips out of it at the last moment. Manny Watson lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Manny Watson connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. While using the guard Manny Watson sets in an unconventional shoulder lock. Vico taps.
