Round 1 Dennis circles Rusty, mixing jabs and leg kicks. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Rusty attempts to grab the plum but is tripped to the floor by Dennis Price who lands in his guard. Rusty backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. A couple of powerful body shots forces Price back to the corner. Howard swims to double underhooks. Price cannot stop Howard from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Price goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Rusty Howard slips out at the last second. Rusty Howard tries to pass guard but Price stops him with a well timed punch. Dennis Price reachs over Rusty Howards shoulder and sets in a kimura. Rusty tries to escape, but cannot. He has to tap out.
