Round 1 Markov is hit with a jab and then taken down with a strong trip takedown. "The Soviet Superstar" connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Price takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Markovs guard. It doesn't pay off as Markov makes his way to standing. Dennis Price is staggered by a jab to the chin. Petrov connects with a strong right hook. Dennis Price is hit with a jab but is able to slip a cross and grab a arm-triangle in standing. Dennis Price trips "The Soviet Superstar" to the floor, landing in side control. Markov Petrov takes a few knees to the body while under Denniss side control. Dennis attempts an armbar, but Markov stops the attempt. Dennis uses the oppurtunity to take mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Markov Petrov gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Markov decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Price with him. "The Soviet Superstar" shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Petrov connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Markov begins to work the rubber guard. Markov gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Markov Petrov connects with a series of punches forcing Dennis Price into a clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Dennis Price decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Markov with him. "The Soviet Superstar" tries to pass guard but Dennis stops him with a well timed punch. Dennis Price attempts an armbar from the bottom, but Markov slips out at the last moment. Price goes for a kimura from the bottom, but "The Soviet Superstar" slips out at the last second. Petrov drops a few strong punches, opening up Prices guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Round 3 comes to a close.
