Round 1 "JJ" snaps back the head of Timo with a stiff jab. Timo Medina throws a cross that easily dodged by "JJ". The fighters circle each other. Mitchell attempts a takedown but slips, and Timo backs away. Timo is standing over Mitchell. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Neil Mitchell connects with a series of punches forcing Medina into a clinch. Neil works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Neil decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Timo with him. Mitchell lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Mitchell goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Timo slips out at the last second. Mitchell connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Neil Mitchell throws his leg over for a tight armbar from the bottom. Timo has to tap.
