Denny eats a stiff punch to the face, and is then swithced, giving Pilar Medina full mount. Pilar maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Round 3 Martin keeps Pilar at a distance with some well timed jabs. The fighters circle each other. Martin connects with a series of punches forcing Medina into a clinch. Denny attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Medina pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. A single-leg attempt is well defended by Pilar Medina. Martin stands up, lifting the leg of Pilar Medina and executing a trip takedown. Denny tries to pick up Medina for a powerbomb, but Medina releases his guard and ends up in stand up. Medina lands a quick elbow, cross that floors Denny. Denny Martin narrowly dodges a cross from Medina, but falls catching him in his guard. Denny Martin sets in an omaplata, forcing Pilar to roll through, giving Denny Martin side control. Pilar Medina almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Denny Martin lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Round 3 is over.
