Round 1
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Richard places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Richard escapes the clinch and creates some distance. A looping right hook from "Cookie Monster" sends Lawerence Kelly to the mat. Renaud attempts to drop a fist on "the leadhead", but misses and lands in his guard. "Cookie Monster" takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Lawerences guard. It doesn't pay off as Kelly makes his way to standing. Renaud takes a punch while shooting but executes the takedown and ends up in Kellys guard. Richard attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. "the leadhead" slips out of it at the last moment. An heel strike attempt is dodged by Renaud and he traps Kellys extended leg to move to half guard. Round 1 is over.

Round 2
Kelly keeps Richard Renaud at a distance with some well timed jabs. A double-leg shot is stuffed initially by Lawerence Kelly, but Richard Renaud is able to muscle through for a takedown. "Cookie Monster" attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Lawerence Kelly slips out of it at the last moment. Renaud defends a triangle attempt, throwing Lawerences straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Lawerence is able to hold him to half guard. Renaud tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Lawerence Kelly tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. "Cookie Monster" slips out of half guard and into side control. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "the leadhead" works Renaud into a corner from the clinch. "the leadhead" presses his head under "Cookie Monsters" chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Lawerence attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with "Cookie Monster" standing over him. Renaud drops a huge strike to Lawerences chin, landing into his guard. Kelly lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Renaud drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. "Cookie Monster" drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. "the leadhead" sets in an omaplata, forcing Richard to roll through, giving "the leadhead" side control. The round comes to an end.
