Round 1
James comes forward, throwing a short hook that distracts Reinhold. James then grabs an overhook and uses a small outside-hook throw and takes side control. Daniel Reinhold is wisely defending a kimura. James attempts to take it but Daniel Reinhold is having none of it, though James has used the chance the slide into mount. Reinhold shifts his head and hips to keep James off balance and unable to land strikes. Daniel Reinhold gives his back up trying to escape the mount. "Bad Boy" peppers Daniel with several shots to the face. "Bad Boy" peppers Daniel Reinhold with several shots to the face. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
James narrowly dodges a cross from Daniel, but falls catching him in his guard. Daniel takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Rips guard. It doesn't pay off as "Bad Boy" makes his way to standing. Rip James connects with a series of punches forcing Daniel into a clinch. James works Daniel into a corner from the clinch. James presses his head under Reinholds chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Rip James has double underhooks, locks across the body, and takes Daniel down to the mat, landing in great side control. "Bad Boy" lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
A looping right hook from Daniel sends Rip James to the mat. Daniel Reinhold drops a huge strike to Jamess chin, landing into his guard. Rip begins to work the rubber guard. Daniel passes through "Bad Boys" guard into mount. Reinhold maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Rip gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Reinhold lands a series of heavy punches forcing James to roll to his back, giving Reinhold mount. Daniel secures his position. Round 3 comes to a close.
