While caught in the guard, Carl opens up a cut on Consu Fernandez with a devestating elbow. Carl pushes down Consus leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Carl Adams tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Consu tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Carl hits Fernandez with some punches to the side of the head. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Fernandez fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Adams. "Prestige" works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Consu escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Carl parries Consu Fernandezs jab and connect with a cross. Carl Adams circles Consu, mixing jabs with body shots. Carl circles Fernandez, mixing jabs with body shots. Consu Fernandez is met with a cross and a liver shot that staggers him. "Prestige" explodes with a flurry of punches. Round 3 Carl Adams fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Consu Fernandez to a corner. Consu Fernandez swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Carl dodges a few strikes from Consu Fernandez and lands an overhand and a elbow. Consu Fernandez attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Carl Adams ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Consu Fernandez and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Consu Fernandez throws a cross that easily dodged by "Prestige". "Prestige" wraps around Fernandezs waist, and drags him to his back, taking side control Carl Adams lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Carl lands a few stiff elbows from side control.
