Round 1 Serge is hit with a jab but is able to slip a cross and grab a arm-triangle in standing. Serge trips Lawerence Kelly to the floor, landing in side control. Serge slides his knee across the body of Kelly and takes full mount. Serge Konovalov secures his position. "the leadhead" gets pummeled by the fists of Serge Konovalov. "the leadhead" gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Serge Konovalov peppers "the leadhead" with several shots to the face. "the leadhead" starts to wiggle out of back control, Konovalov lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Serge fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing "the leadhead" to a corner. "the leadhead" swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Kelly gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Serge Konovalov tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Serge slips out of half guard and into side control. Serge attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Lawerence Kelly for his troubles. Serge Konovalov slides his knee across the body of Lawerence Kelly and takes full mount. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Lawerence works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Kelly escapes the clinch and creates some distance. The fighters circle each other. Lawerence Kelly takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Serge Konovalov parries Lawerences jab and connect with a cross. Konovalov takes down Lawerence, but remains standing over him. Serge Konovalov lays into Kellys thighs with some well timed kicks while "the leadhead" is grounded. The bell signals the end of round 3.
