Round 1 "Russian Madman" circles "The Hobo Clown", landing jabs and crosses at will. Pavlik Bulatov narrowly dodges a cross from "The Hobo Clown", but falls catching him in his guard. Pavlik connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Thiago presses the action while in the guard, but Pavlik is able to switch him into mount. Pavlik Bulatov punishes "The Hobo Clown" with a series of strikes from the mount. Thiago Assuncao shifts his head and hips to keep Pavlik Bulatov off balance and unable to land strikes.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Bulatov is met with a cross and a liver shot that staggers him. Thiago Assuncao explodes with a flurry of punches. Bulatov is then thrown to the floor. Assuncao attempts to drop a fist on "Russian Madman", but misses and lands in his guard. Thiago dodges a few strikes from Pavlik Bulatov and cuts him over his eye with a axe-handle strike. Pavlik Bulatov is starting to bleed over his left eye. Thiago drops a few strong punches, opening up Pavlik Bulatovs guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Thiago Assuncao secures his position. Assuncao telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but "Russian Madman" gives up his back to stop the attempt. Pavlik Bulatov eats a few stiff shots from Assuncao, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. Thiago punishes Bulatov with a series of strikes from the mount. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 A shot catches "The Hobo Clown" off balance and off guard. "Russian Madman" spears him but can only manage to make it to guard. A kimura attempt from Thiago is countered by a punch from Pavlik, who then transitions to half guard. Pavlik Bulatov tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. "The Hobo Clown" hits an upward elbow on "Russian Madman", and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though "Russian Madman" takes side control. "Russian Madman" lands a few stiff elbows from side control. A series of strong hammerfists forces Thiago to roll over, giving up his back. The bell signals the end of round 3.
