Round 1 Barnes executes a single leg giving him the back of "Nocturnal". Butch peppers "Nocturnal" with several shots to the face. "Nocturnal" starts to wiggle out of back control, "Bones" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Masato is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from Butch Barnes. Butch Barnes now has side control. Butch slides his knee across the body of "Nocturnal" and takes full mount. Barnes maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Noguchi attempts to escape mount but has no luck. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Masato narrowly dodges a cross from "Bones", but falls catching him in his guard. "Nocturnal" gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Butch slams his knee into Noguchis ribs. Butch slips out of half guard and into side control. Butch Barnes lands a few stiff elbows from side control. "Nocturnal" tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard. Noguchi tries to scramble out of half guard, but Barnes takes his back during it. Barnes tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Butch peppers Noguchi with several shots to the face. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 "Bones" keeps Noguchi at a distance with some well timed jabs. Masato Noguchi is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from "Bones". "Bones" now has side control. "Bones" lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Masato Noguchi gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Butch is working a furious pace on Masato Noguchi, intermingling strikes with positional dominance at will. Butch lands a series of heavy punches forcing Noguchi to roll to his back, giving Butch mount. The bell signals the end of round 3.
