Round 1 Gene Green fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Jesse. Jesse places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Gene dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Gosselin standing over him. Jesse attempts to drop a fist on Green, but misses and lands in his guard. Jesse Gosselin attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Green slips out of it at the last moment. Gene Green shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Gene is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Jesse Gosselin attempts a huge overhand right but Gene Green bucks back and switches Jesse Gosselin into mount. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Green snaps back the head of Gosselin with a stiff jab. Gene Green stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Jesse Gosselin drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Jesse Gosselin pushes down Greens leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Green tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Gene Green hits an upward elbow on Gosselin, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Gosselin takes side control. Green gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Gene Green is able to make it back to the standing position. Jesse connects with a strong right hook. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 The fighters circle each other. Green fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Gosselin to a corner. Gosselin swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Green drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. An heel strike attempt is dodged by Green and he traps Jesse Gosselins extended leg to move to half guard. Gene Green slams his knee into Jesses ribs. Gene Green slams his knee into Gosselins ribs. Gosselin hits an upward elbow on Green, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Green takes side control.Round 3 comes to a close.
