Round 1
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Zory works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Yershov dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Cherry standing over him. Cael Cherry attempts to drop a fist on Zory Yershov, but misses and lands in his guard. Yershov begins to work the rubber guard. Cael Cherry tries to pass guard but Zory Yershov stops him with a well timed punch. Zory Yershov attempts an armbar from the bottom, but Cael slips out at the last moment. "The Pits" tries to pass guard but Zory stops him with a well timed punch. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
"The Pits" sends Zory Yershov to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Yershov attempts an omoplata and almost has it sunk but Cael Cherry is able to survive any major damage. Yershov cannot finish the hold and decides to stand up. Yershov connects with a series of punches forcing Cael into a clinch. Zory Yershov stomps the feet of Cherry. "The Wolf Hunter" has double underhooks, locks across the body, and takes Cael down to the mat, landing in great side control. Zory lands a few stiff elbows from side control. The round comes to an end.

Round 3
The fighters circle each other. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Zory Yershov throws on a beautiful flying armbar from the clinch, but Cael is able to shift out at the last moment. Zory sinks a deep kimura, but "The Pits" slides out. This gives Zory the chance to switch to half guard. The round comes to an end.
