Round 1 "Naztastic" sends Jay Simmons to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Mitsuru Numajiri drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Numajiri drops some elbows from guard, giving him a brief moment to switch over to side control. Jay takes a few knees to the body while under "Naztastics" side control. Mitsuru Numajiri slides his knee across the body of Simmons and takes full mount. Mitsuru Numajiri secures his position. "Naztastic" secures his position. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 "Sting Ray" plows through "Naztastic" with a driving double leg takedown. Jay Simmons attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. "Naztastic" slips out of it at the last moment. "Sting Ray" drops some elbows from guard, giving him a brief moment to switch over to side control. Numajiri almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Jay Simmons slides his knee across the body of Numajiri and takes full mount. Mitsuru Numajiri attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Jay Simmons maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Jay Simmons executes a single leg giving him the back of "Naztastic". Jay is working a furious pace on "Naztastic", intermingling strikes with positional dominance at will. Mitsuru Numajiri starts to wiggle out of back control, Jay lets him escape putting them both on their feet. "Naztastic" shoots but "Sting Ray" stuffs it, eventually using a whizzer to work to side control. "Sting Ray" attempts an armbar, but Mitsuru Numajiri stops the attempt. "Sting Ray" uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Numajiri pulls "Sting Ray" close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Jay secures his position. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
