Round 1 Checo Diaz gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Fransico Meirelles slides off to the side of Checo and lands several heavy knees into his ribs. Before he can lose the position, Fransico Meirelles switches back to full back control. Diaz starts to wiggle out of back control, Meirelles lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Checo shoots but Fransico stuffs it, eventually using a whizzer to work to side control. Fransico Meirelles slides his knee across the body of Checo and takes full mount. Fransico Meirelles secures his position. Diaz is hit with multiple punches, and taps out.
