Round 1 Griffin takes a punch and goes to the mat, Assuncao pounces into side control. Griffin recovers quickly. Thiago Assuncao slides his knee across the body of Ramon and takes full mount. Thiago Assuncao maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Griffin gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Ramon tries to explode out the backdoor but "The Hobo Clown" sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Ramon falls flat to protect himself. Ramon Griffin starts to wiggle out of back control, Thiago lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Ramon circles Thiago Assuncao, landing jabs at will. Ramon Griffin takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Griffin gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Ramon eats a few stiff shots from Thiago, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. "The Hobo Clown" throws some outside strikes at Ramon Griffin. Round 3 "The Hobo Clown" fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Ramon to a corner. Ramon swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. A right hand from Ramon Griffin while in guard angers "The Hobo Clown" who returns the favor with a powerful right hand. Thiago takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Ramons guard. It doesn't pay off as Ramon Griffin makes his way to standing. "The Hobo Clown" parries Griffins jab and connect with a cross. The fighters circle each other. Thiago locks around the waist of Ramon. He sneaks his foot behind Ramons and trips him to the floor, taking side control. Thiago Assuncao drops some hammer fists on Ramon. Ramon is wisely defending a kimura. Thiago Assuncao attempts to take it but Ramon is having none of it, though Thiago Assuncao has used the chance the slide into mount. Round 3 is finished.
