Round 1 Brown attempts to clinch, but Jay Smith connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Christopher narrowly dodges a cross from Jay, but falls catching him in his guard. Christopher dodges some ground strikes from Jay, and sends a few back of his own. Jay attempts to drop bombs while caught in the guard, but Christopher Brown takes the chance to switch Jay over to mount him. Brown secures his position. "The Sting Ray" attempts to escape mount but has no luck. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Jay connects with a series of punches forcing Christopher into a clinch. Brown receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Smith. Smith attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with Christopher standing over him. Christopher attempts to drop a fist on Jay Smith, but misses and lands in his guard. "The Sting Ray" is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Jay Smith lands a stiff elbow while on his back. "The Sting Ray" begins to work the rubber guard. Christopher drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Jay Smith connects with a series of punches forcing Christopher into a clinch. Smith receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. A strong elbow forces Smith to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Christopher Brown drops a huge strike to Smiths chin, landing into his guard. Christopher tries to pass guard but "The Sting Ray" stops him with a well timed punch. Jay shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Christopher tries to pass guard but Jay stops him with a well timed punch. "The Sting Ray" gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. The bell signals the end of round 3.
