Round 1 Evans throws a cross that easily dodged by Wood. Wood takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Evans ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Claude to the mat, and his back. Evans begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Wood rolls to being mounted instead. Evans maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Evans telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Claude gives up his back to stop the attempt. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Claude Wood is staggered by a jab to the chin. Gabe connects with a series of punches forcing Claude into a clinch. Claude Wood attempts to grab the plum but Gabe Evans takes the opportunity to attain double underhooks and take down Claude Wood. Evans sits up in "Hards" open guard and spins to an leg lock. Claude is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Evans narrowly dodges a cross from "Hard", but falls catching him in his guard. Gabe Evans connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Claude tries to pass guard but Evans stops him with a well timed punch. Evans is able to use the butterfly guard to land some short punches then push Claude up to standing. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 The fighters circle each other. Gabe Evans attempts to clinch, but Claude Wood connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Evans keeps "Hard" at a distance with some well timed jabs. Gabe attempts a takedown but slips, and Wood backs away. Wood is standing over Gabe. The bell signals the end of round 3.
