Round 1 Corey attempts a striking combination, but Nathan Cox forces the clinch. Nathan Cox gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. "DBA" takes Coreys back standing. Corey Nelson isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but "DBA" lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Corey Nelson to release. Nathan Cox keeps Nelson at a distance with some well timed jabs. Corey is struck by some looping punches and kicks and goes for the clinch to shorten the distance. Nathan welcomes the clinch landing a lead knee and a powerful elbow. Then pushes Corey back to striking distance. Cox lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. A lazy leg kick from Corey is caught by Cox who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Corey. Cox drops a huge strike to Corey Nelsons chin, landing into his guard. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Corey keeps "DBA" at a distance with some well timed jabs. Corey throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from "DBA" puts Corey on the mat giving his back up. Corey Nelson carefully protects himself from Nathan Coxs strikes. Corey Nelson starts to wiggle out of back control, Nathan Cox lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Nelson circles Nathan Cox, landing jabs and crosses at will. Cox weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. Cox shuffles away from Coreys strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Corey Nelson backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Cox is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Corey Nelson uses his jabs to set up crushing inside and outside leg kicks. A left high kick from Cox keeps Corey Nelson at bay. Two quick punches opens up Corey for a takedown. "DBA" pushes in and executes a forward foot sweep that puts Corey on his back. "DBA" falls into side control. The bell signals the end of round 3.
